BOSTON, MA – codemantra US LLC announced today that it has partnered with Snowbound Software to offer a complete digital document compliance solution to its customers. The partnership expands codemantra’s ability to meet the ADA 508 digital document compliance requirements of many of its and Snowbound’s customers and partners.

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires that federal agencies’ electronic and information technology be accessible to people with disabilities, including employees and members of the public.

Jody Spencer, Chief Marketing & Alliances Officer at Snowbound, commented: “While our HTML5 document viewer is built with accessibility features so that visually impaired users can retrieve and review documents easily, many of our customers still have legacy documents that need to be made ADA 508 compliant. As an industry thought leader in the accessibility remediation market, we are looking forward to being able to introduce our customers to codemantra’s document remediation solutions and services through this alliance.

codemantra has been offering digital document remediation services since 2016 and has serviced companies and organizations in financial services, insurance, K-12 education, higher education, and government agencies.  By leveraging its accessibilityInsight™ platform that employs machine learning to accurately tag content elements, codemantra is able to automate the document remediation process by up to 80%.  To complete remediation projects, subject matter experts create alternative text that allows for detailed image descriptions.

The digital document accessibility services partnership between Snowbound and codemantra is a natural extension of our market position,” stated Barry Bealer, Senior Vice President, Strategic Alliances at codemantra.  “Because of Snowbound’s leadership position in the document viewing market, we work with many of the same organizations that are implementing complete document management solutions to deliver security, mobility, and accessibility for their users. This relationship makes it easier for their customers and partners to become ADA compliant.
